Amlodipine Tablets belongs to a group of medicines called calcium antagonists.
Amlodipine Tablets is used to treat:
- high blood pressure (hypertension) by causing the blood vessels to relax allowing the blood to pass more easily
- a certain type of chest pain called angina, a rare form of which is Prinzmetal's or variant angina by improving the blood supply to the heart muscle which receives more oxygen and as a result prevents chest pain.
